• After the capture of Minas Tirith, the Orcs come through the Pass of Sirion, but they are destroyed by Halmir and Beleg near Brethil; the Orcs dare not cross the Taeglin for many years after.
• Following the battle, Húrin and Huor become lost and cross the Brithiach, wandering into Dimbar. Being spotted by Thorondor, they are rescued by his Eagles and taken to Gondolin.
