- Annael and the Elves of Androth leave Hithlum for the Havens of Sirion. They escape but Tuor is captured.
- Tuor is enthralled by Lorgan, chief of the Easterlings in Hithlum.
- Around this time, the Elves of Nargothrond become yet more wary and secret, and will not suffer even Elves to stray in their lands.
