Carta 135c
Summary
Tolkien writes to his son Michael and his partner Joan, describing the challenges of the term's start, which he deemed the worst in memory due to extensive outside work and the complications of house-hunting. He mentioned his late nights, often staying up until 2 a.m., and once until 5 a.m. Despite health issues, he managed to cope.
He hoped to soon confirm their move to 76 Sandfield Road, near Dr. Havard, planned for the spring, but wished to keep it confidential from the College for the time being.
