Carta 222a

Summary

A librarian had prepared a list of names, places, and words in The Lord of the Rings and had sent them to Unwin because they hoped they would be included in the book. Tolkien indicated he would send them back with minor notes. He also indicated that he was now in an "active state of preparation" on The Silmarillion thanks to his secretary (unnamed in the letter) at the time.
