Summary
Tolkien wrote to Roger to thank him for identifying a story titled "Puss-Cat Mew" as part of a collection written by E. H. Knatchbull-Hugessen. Tolkien expressed his surprise at forgetting the author's name, which had left a significant impression on him during his childhood. The unique name was one that Tolkien noted he would always remember whenever it appeared again.
Tolkien mentioned his intention to acquire a copy of Stories for my Children, which contains the tale in question. However, he expressed his willingness to borrow Green's volume if he was unable to obtain his own copy.
