Carta 343a
Summary
Tolkien expresses hope that Glover, an English professor at the University of Mary Washington, will find the support needed for his project during his visit to England. However, Tolkien explicitly requests that Glover refrain from discussing or inquiring about C. S. Lewis's work or their personal relationship. He specifies that this request is based on personal reasons rather than professional ones.
Tolkien also acknowledges Glover's kind words about his own work. He notes that despite his advancing age, he remains deeply engaged in completing his own projects, which occupy nearly all his available time and energy.
