Dáin’s hall
Dáin's hall was the dwelling of Durin's Folk in the Grey Mountains, the name coming from the Dwarf-king Dáin I.
History
Little is known about this hall save that in Third Age 2589, Dáin was killed by a great Cold-Drake along with his son Frór at the entrance to the hall. A year later, most of Durin's Folk (though not all) abandoned the mountains, and left for Erebor and the Iron Hills lead by Thrór and Grór, respectively, Dáin's other two sons.

Founded by Thorin I it was known as "Grárik" or the "Grey Kingdom". Its capital was "Thikil-gundu, the Steel Keep", a fortress which pre-dated the kingdom and was also claimed by the "Zhélruka" dwarves of the East.
