Cemendur (son of Axantur)

Cemendur was the son of Axantur and a member of a minor branch of Númenórean royalty. He had two children, a daughter Írildë and a son Hallatan. Hallatan would later become the father of Hallacar, the husband of Tar-Ancalimë, the first Ruling Queen of Númenor.

Etymology

Cemendur is a Quenya name. Its meaning is not glossed, but Paul Strack suggests it means "Servant of the Earth" and is a compound of kemen ("earth") and -(n)dur ("servant").
