Elboron

Elboron was the second Prince of Ithilien, and Steward of Gondor.

History

Elboron was the son of Faramir and Éowyn. Upon his father's death in Fourth Age 82, he became the second Prince of Ithilien and the Steward of Gondor.

Elboron was either the father or uncle of Barahir, the grandson of Faramir who wrote The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen.

Etymology

Elboron may mean "Enduring Star", from elen ("star") and boron ("long-lasting, enduring").
