Flambard Took

Flambard was the son of Isembard Took, one of the Old Took's younger sons. He had one son, Adelard.

Like many other members of the Took clan, Flambard's name has military connections: a flambard (flam "flame" + bard "battle-axe") is a large sword with a waved or flame-shaped blade.
