Narthseg

Narthseg belonged to the people of Artanor, but later betrayed both Artanor and Tinwelint his king by revealing crucial information to Naugladur lord of Nogrod which resulted in Tinwelint's death and the sack of Artanor. He was slain in that fighting.

Narthseg is Gnomish, though it is not glossed. In Gnomish, narth means "odour" and seg means "middle point". As words for "centre" are often used to refer to "heart", this may then mean "Odorous Heart" (cf. Malcamectë: "Heart of Evil").
