A World for Children

"A World for Children" is the title of the first literary review of The Hobbit. It was written by C.S. Lewis and originally published (anonymously) in The Times Literary Supplement on 2 October 1937 (p. 714). In 1972 the review was reprinted as the chapter "The Hobbit" in the collection Of This and Other Worlds.

In 2013 this review was published in Image and Imagination: Essays and Reviews.
