Fantasy Flight Games

Fantasy Flight Games is a tabletop game developer and publisher, founded in 1995 in Minnesota by Christian T. Petersen. FFG rose to fame with its Twilight Imperium board game in 1997 and in more recent years, acquired licenses to make games using the Star Wars, Marvel, Warhammer and Lord of the Rings properties.

It's a subdivision of Asmodee (since 2014) and in turn, of the Embracer Group.

Games

• The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game a "Living Card Game" (LCG) with over a hundred unique products released from 2011 until its retirement in 2024. Some of the refreshed content repackaged in 2023 is still in print.
• The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth a cooperative app-based adventure board game, released in 2019 and still in print.
• Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation., a two-player competitive game with Sauron facing the armies of the Free-peoples, originaly released in 2013. Currently out of print.
• Lord of the Rings (board game),, a revised version of the cooperative adventure game originally released by Sophisticated Games, published by Fantasy Flight in 2000 who also released an limited edition Anniversary Edition in 2020. Currently out of print.
