James Tauber
James Tauber is a Tolkien scholar, linguist, teacher, and software developer at Signum University, holding a Master of Arts from Lancaster University, where his thesis was on linguistic variation in Tolkien. He is the founder and chief of the Digital Tolkien Project, specializing in text markup and computer-aided literary and linguistic analysis. He is a scholar of Tolkien's invented languages, with a book chapter in Reading Fictional Languages on the use of these languages in the text of The Lord of the Rings as well as an expert in Tolkien's writing style.
James co-hosts The Rings of Power Wrap-up podcast with Sara Brown and Alan Sisto, and has been a guest host on The Prancing Pony Podcast.
