Monday
Monday (archaic form Monendei) was the third day of the week in the Shire Calendar. It was dedicated to the Moon, representing the Númenórean day Orithil.
After the reform of Isengrim Took II, 1 May and 1 November always fell on this day.
Etymology
Monday represents an archaic Hobbitish form "Monendei", a word preserved in the Yellowskin. It is dedicated to the Moon.
Monday is translated as "Monday" in The Lord of the Rings.
