- Following a visit from Angrod, Thingol allows the House of Finarfin to enter Doriath due to their close kinship with Thingol via Finarfin's wife, Eärwen.
- Thingol, as the self-styled Lord of Beleriand, grants the Noldor permission to occupy Hithlum and Dorthonion, as well as the lands to the east of Doriath.
