Ashes
Ashes were tall, straight, grey trees common in northern lands, and found throughout Middle-earth. The spears of the Rohirrim were made from their wood, as was Gandalf's staff.

Wood of the black ash tree can be foraged by master foresters in the Misty Mountains, Angmar, and Eregion. Wood of the wind-swept black ash tree can be foraged by Gundabad foresters in the Ettenmoors, Gundabad, and King's Gondor. Wood of the wind-swept black ash tree can be foraged by Umbar foresters in the Ettenmoors, King's Gondor, and Outer Gondor.
