Warner Bros. Games (formerly known as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, also known as WB Games) is a world-wide distributor and developer of video games and currently, it is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. In 2009 it entered into a partnership with the Saul Zaentz Company and New Line Cinema (itself now a subsidiary of Warner Bros.) to make video games based on both the The Lord of the Rings books and films and The Hobbit films and book. As a result, it is the current company that has the video game rights for both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and their adaptations.
