Dwarf-masks
Dwarf-masks were great gilded helmets made in the First Age by the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains.
History
The Dwarves of Belegost appeared within the Battle of Unnumbered Tears wearing masks they were resistant to fire, as according to their custom. The Elves of Nargothrond were in possession of dwarf-masks, as well as dwarf-mail; Túrin Mormegil found an all-gilded mask within the armories of Nargothrond, which he wore before going to battle. At the Battle of Tumhalad the dwarf-mask protected him from Glaurung.
