Dior (Steward of Gondor)
Dior (Third Age Third Age 2328 – Third Age 2435, aged 107 years) was the ninth Ruling Steward of Gondor.
History
Dior was the last Ruling Steward during the period of the Watchful Peace.
Dior, having had no children, was succeeded by his sister Rían's son Denethor I.
Etymology
For the meaning of his name refer to Dior - Etymology. Dior was probably named after the son of Beren and Lúthien of the First Age.
