Barahir (Third Age 2290 – 2412, aged 122 years) was eighth Ruling Steward of Gondor.
The Watchful Peace continued during his rule.
Barahir ruled as Steward for seventeen years, and was succeeded by his son Dior.
Etymology
For the meaning of his name refer to Barahir - Etymology. Barahir was probably named after the hero of the First Age who was the father of Beren.
