Andúnë

andúnë is the poetic word for "sunset", "west", or "evening" in Quenya. The more common word for "west" is númen. The capitalized form Andúnië is applied to the Uttermost West in the Namárië.

Andúnë derives from the root NDŪ ("sink, go down").
