Balan
balan (pl. belain) means "Vala, divine power, divinity" in Exilic Noldorin.
Balan was also the original name of Bëor.
Etymology
- Root BAL In The Silmarillion, balrog is glossed as Sindarin "Demon of Might", indicating the contracted form bal-.
