Herumor was a term used by a growing dark cult in Gondor during the Fourth Age, over one hundred years into the reign of Eldarion.

Around Fourth Age 220, a secret cult worshipping the Dark Lord used the term Herumor to denote something of significance. Whether Herumor was the name of a person, an alias, a concept, or even a code word is not known. It is known, however, that the term was used in whispers in opposition against Eldarion in the Reunited Kingdom.

Sometime in the early months of the year 220, Borlas of Pen-arduin picked up on the whispers of Herumor from a man named Othrondir. Later on, during a discussion with Saelon in June, he briefly pondered how Saelon had heard the name.
