Ring*Con

Ring*Con is an annual J.R.R. Tolkien convention held in Germany.

After the box-office success of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Marcel Bülles and Stefan Servos, webmaster of Herr-der-Ringe-film.de, decided to organize a convention to bring together fans of The Lord of the Rings. The first Ring*con, in 2002, had 1,500 guests.
