- 22 - Samwise Gamgee rides out from Bag End.
Later
- Samwise comes to the Tower Hills and gives the Red Book of Westmarch to Elanor. Samwise leaves westwards. According to tradition of the Fairbairn, he went to the Grey Havens to pass over the Sea and into the Uttermost West, last of the Ring-bearers.
