Yews
Yews were a tree whose wood was used for bows. Bard had a bow of such wood, and so did the Woodmen, and the Orcs of Isengard.
During Berúthiel's time as the wife of King Tarannon of Gondor, she decorated the gardens of the King's House in Osgiliath "with tormented sculptures beneath cypresses and yews".
Portrayal in adaptations
2007: The Lord of the Rings Online:
Wood of this tree can be foraged by expert foresters in the Lone-lands, the North Downs, Evendim, and the Yondershire.
