Númenórë (map)

The Númenórë map, appearing in the Unfinished Tales, depicts the island of Númenor.

The map is a redrawing by Christopher Tolkien from what probably was the only sketch of Númenor made by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The sketch-map of Númenor was only published in the book Tolkien: Maker of Middle-earth. It includes the haven of Almaida, which apparently is not mentioned elsewhere in the legendarium.

In the Tolkien Art Index, the sketch corresponds to the item 538 and the redrawn map corresponds to the item 544.
