The Oratory School

The Oratory School is Roman Catholic independent boarding school in Woodcote, Oxfordshire. Michael and Christopher Tolkien were pupils there in the 1930s when it was located in Caversham in Berkshire. Michael was later a master at the school and when staying with him J.R.R. Tolkien occasionally covered lessons for absent teachers.
