Carta 111a

Summary

In a letter to Stanley Unwin, Tolkien apologises for the length of the material he sent and expresses hope that Rayner Unwin will enjoy the second book of The Lord of the Rings that he recently shared. He encourages Rayner to provide honest feedback and not hesitate to share his thoughts. Tolkien humorously remarks on his tendency to get carried away in literary discussions and looks forward to welcoming Rayner in person on his next visit.
