Summary
Tolkien thanks Stanley Unwin for calling him a genius; Unwin said that he doesn't say that to everybody – in fact, it was the first time in thirty years. Tolkien adds that he would start writing on something soon.
In the expanded edition
Tolkien also confirms their meeting on 27 October, and he thanks Stanley for writing to him from his bed (due to a cold).
