An Introduction to Old Norse

An Introduction to Old Norse is a textbook written by E.V. Gordon, arising from his teaching at the University of Leeds and first published in 1927 in Oxford at the Clarendon Press. A second edition was published in 1957, revised by A. R. Taylor.

In the preface Gordon notes that J.R.R. Tolkien "read the proofs of the Grammar and made valuable suggestions and corrections." (p. ix).
