Barahir (grandson of Faramir)
Barahir was a Gondorian of the Fourth Age.
History
Barahir was the grandson of the Steward Faramir, Prince of Ithilien, and Lady Éowyn of Rohan. He was likely named after a famed hero of the First Age, the father of Beren, and/or one of his ancestors who had served as Ruling Steward in the Third Age.
Barahir flourished during the second century of the Fourth Age and after the death of King Aragorn II Elessar he authored The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen.
His work survived in abbreviated form in the Thain's Book.
