Dorothy Whitelock

Dorothy Whitelock (11 November, 1901 - 14 August, 1982) was a scholar of Anglo-Saxon poetry and history. She was a colleague of J.R.R. Tolkien at the University of Oxford from 1930 until 1957, when she became Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon at the University of Cambridge.
