Isabelle Pantin

Isabelle Pantin, born in 1952, is a French academic specialising in the Renaissance and the works of Tolkien. She is an associate professor of French literature at the École normale supérieure (Ulm) and an associate researcher at the Observatoire de Paris. She works on the relationship between literature, philosophy and the history of cosmology. She is known among the tolkienists for her book Tolkien et ses légendes (Tolkien and his legends) published in 2009.
