Carta a George Burke Johnston

On 24 May 1968, J.R.R. Tolkien wrote a letter to George Burke Johnston.

  • Contents: Burke Johnston had sent a "specially printed, specially bound copy of" his booklet The Poetry of J.R.R. Tolkien to Tolkien, who responded with a thank you note and explained that in his youth "root" was used as "boot" is now, i.e. slang for "kick". Tolkien also wrote that he will be moving from Oxford soon.
