Faniel

Faniel was a Ñoldorin Elf that was the third daughter of Finwë and Indis in an apparently discarded concept of the legendarium. She had two brothers, Fingolfin and Finarfin, two sisters, Findis and Finvain and a half-brother, Fëanor.

History

Faniel was born during the Noontide of Valinor, probably in Tirion. She did not leave Valinor during the Flight of the Noldor, remaining instead in Aman.

Etymology

Faniel was a Quenya name comprised of an unknown element and -iel ("daughter, feminine suffix").
