Tindómiel

Tindómiel was the second child, and only daughter, of Elros Tar-Minyatur, the first King of Númenor. Almost nothing is known about her life.

Etymology

Tindómiel is a Quenya name. Its meaning is not glossed, but it's listed along with Tinúviel among the examples of the ending -iel for "female". Paul Strack suggests it means "Daughter of Twilight" and is a compound of tindómë ("twilight") and -iel ("daughter", feminine suffix). The Sindarin name Tinúviel has the same meaning.

It could also mean "Morning Star" in Quenya and consist of an assimilation of tindómë and el ("star"), analogous to Arwen Undómiel "Evenstar", who was a cousin of Tindómiel, while Tindómerel is better documented as meaning "Daughter of Twilight".
