La Feuille de la Compagnie, 'vol.1, Cahier d'études tolkieniennes' is an issue of the French journal La Feuille de la Compagnie.

La Feuille de la Compagnie (named in memory of Tolkien's text, Leaf, by Niggle, which underlines the interest of detailed works, contributing to the common enrichment) aims to promote the intelligence of the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. The main tasks that it proposes to fulfill are the following: First of all (Section 'Dossiers'), present materials, in the form of files, allowing each one to deepen the study of an aspect of the work. Then follow (Section 'Articles') the studies themselves, i.e. the writing of articles on Tolkien, the publication of proceedings of conferences devoted to Tolkien, the publication of translations of essential articles or book chapters. Finally (Section 'Reports'), downstream of this study work, a task seems to us to be essential for the information of the French-speaking public by proposing reviews or precise reports of important works (in particular in English).
