Nielíqui

Nielíqui was a Vala maiden according to the early version of the legendarium in The Book of Lost Tales.

She was the daughter of Oromë and Vána. She also enjoyed dancing through her father's woods and Ómar would sometimes accompany her by singing along. It is said that: "where her tears fell snowdrops sprang, where her feet touched as she laughed daffodils blossomed".

Etymology

Aside from the form Nielíqui, there were other variations on her name: Nielikki or Nyelikki, and Nieliqi. Nielikki was perhaps intended to be a "pet-name form" of Nieliqi. She was also called Wendine (meaning "Little Maiden" in Qenya).
