Rachel Tolkien

Rachel Clare Reuel Tolkien (born 13 February 1971) is the daughter of Baillie Tolkien and Christopher Tolkien, sibling to Adam Tolkien. This makes J.R.R. Tolkien her grandfather.

Rachel Tolkien attended the world premiere of The Lord of the Rings (musical) in Toronto in 2006. She said that the "set is incredible, the costumes are beautiful," and that "[e]verything to me that is the most important, and the most moving in the book, they've gotten on the stage".
Her last public appearance coincided with the French Tolkien exhibition in Paris, visiting the Embassy of the United Kingdom with her mother Baillie where one of the Aubusson tapestries was exhibited.
