Imloth Melui was a valley in Lossarnach.

Roses grew in Imloth Melui. People from Minas Tirith often travelled to the upper valleys of Lossarnach to see the flowers and the blossoms of the fruit trees. Ioreth was probably raised in Imloth Melui before she travelled to Minas Tirith.

Etymology

Imloth Melui is Sindarin for "sweet flower-valley" or "lovely flowery vale". It is a compound of Imloth ("flowery vale") and Melui ("lovely"). The element Imloth seems to be a compound of im ("valley") and loth ("flower").

Portrayal in adaptations

2015: The Lord of the Rings Online:

Located in the Lossarnach area of Eastern Gondor, the valley of Imloth Melui also contains a town of the same time. The river Erui flows through the valley, dividing the city in two. During the War of the Ring it hosts many refugees from the White City, primarily women, children and the elderly. In Lord Forlong's absence it was ruled by his wife Lady Vanyalos, the sister of Steward Denethor.
