Mark Poole
Artist for Middle-earth Collectible Card Game
Mark Poole (born 31 August 1963) is an American fantasy artist, known for being one of the original illustrators for Magic: The Gathering. He was contracted by Iron Crown Enterprises to create artwork for the Middle-earth Collectible Card Game.
Poole works with oil, acrylic and digital media.
Career
After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in fine arts and design in 1986, he worked as an illustrator for advertising and merchandise. By the early 1990s, he had transitioned to fantasy work.
